A dynamic group of 76 juniors and seniors from 10 local high schools rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on adventure through the world of construction, guided by real industry pros who brought their passion and expertise to life. From Kitchen, Bath, and Lighting Design to Building Science and Technology, and from Supply Chain Logistics to a high-energy Dodecahedron Building Challenge, students dove into engaging activities that tested their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
The goal? To open eyes, spark ideas, and plant the seeds for bright futures in the trades—and wow, did it work.
After flexing their skills, students hit the bustling Builders’ Expo hosted by Curtis Lumber, where more than 70 vendors and suppliers showcased cutting-edge products, tools, and technologies that power the industry forward. For many students, this was a first-time look behind the scenes of careers they hadn’t even imagined—and the excitement was palpable.
The room buzzed with questions, laughter, and “aha!” moments. The enthusiasm was contagious. And most importantly, the future of the trades looked brighter than ever.
Events like this are more than just a day out of school—they’re a launchpad. A spark. A step toward fulfilling, high-demand careers that build communities and change lives.
NCTWC is proud to be part of that journey.
